Shanghai Swans win show jumping GCL Super Cup

PRAGUE - Shanghai Swans won the final of show jumping competition Global Champions League (GCL) Super Cup in Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, on Sunday.
Monaco Aces took the second place, and last year's winner Madrid in Motion won the third place in the 2019 Prague Playoffs.
Shanghai Swans were the most balanced team on Sunday. In the first lap, their riders got four penalty points and were listed the third. Although they collected eight penalty points in the second half of the competition, they settled in the lead and none of the other two teams overtook them.
The Shanghai Swans eventually won with 12 penalty points and the second round time of 200.16 seconds, nine penalty points lower than the Monaco Aces, who got 21 penalty points in total and 199.85 seconds in time.
Madrid in Motion were listed the last after the first round of the six-member final with 16 penalty points. But they showed a big boost in the second round, with only eight penalty points added. They got bronze medal with 24 penalty points in total and 199.90 seconds of time.
The winner of the semifinals Paris Panthers, who also entered the second round with four penalty points, and the best team of the first round Cannes Stars, who had only one penalty point, fell below the podium at last.
The four-day-long Prague Playoffs is the last leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour, which brought together the top show jumpers in the world to compete in prestigious locations for unprecedented prize money. The 2019 tour have been held in 18 cities before the Prague Playoffs, including Shanghai, China.
