Before medical teams from across the country arrived in Wuhan, the medical staff in Jinyintan Hospital has been fighting against the virus around the clock for a week. Only 10 percent could sleep in a bed during that period – most could only rest once in a while on chairs.
The doctors and nurses who must always be prepared to serve patients' needs and be on their intercom 24 hours a day were both mentally and physically challenged, and they needed to rest.
