Ambassadors' views on China's Government Work Report

I followed with great interest the Report on the Work of the Government presented by Premier Li Keqiang, and commend the work and effort put by the Chinese government to accomplish the main economic targets set for 2019. For the size of the Chinese economy, a GDP growth of 6.1 percent and the creation of 13.52 million new urban jobs are great macroeconomic achievements. It is further proof of their conscious planning and good economic programming.

We are confident that China will be able to achieve the targets for economic and social development set for 2020, and ensure a stable economic performance, by giving priority to stabilizing employment, ensuring living standards, and redoubling efforts to minimize the effects resulting from the COVID-19 epidemic.
