Students celebrate return of Hong Kong

Some students from Jinan University in Guangzhou, Guangdong province — most of whom were from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region — sang?Heading Forward, a song that celebrates the 25th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to the motherland.

The university moved to Guangzhou in 1958 after its founding in 1906 in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. It has recruited the largest number of students from Hong Kong of all universities in the Chinese mainland.

Nearly 70,000 alumni of the university live in the Hong Kong SAR.
