Hangzhou's global village offers world of convenience

The AR production team worked for a year and a half to create virtual flourishes to integrate with such physical features as West Lake's rippling waters, arching bridges and blooming lotuses, and interactive activities such as dragon boat races and volleyball matches.

Athletes can use the village's roughly 8,000-square-meter Fitness Service Center, which is divided into specialized areas for cardio, plyometric, mobility, recovery and functional training.

"Athletes can conveniently and efficiently complete their entire training routines here," said the center's director, Sun Jiaqun.
