G20 Roundtable at Tsinghua shines light on digital transformation empowering women and youth employment


Francisco Macena da Silva, vice-minister of Labour and Employment of Brazil underscored the country's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship as the current chair of the G20. He emphasized that an entrepreneurship-driven economic model not only generates jobs but also safeguards workers' rights and dignity. Additionally, he called for increased focus on job quality and collaboration towards a more inclusive and sustainable future.

Chen Liming, chair of the World Economic Forum's Greater China region, discussed the critical role of digital technologies, including AI and remote work, and cross-border digital cooperation in unlocking global entrepreneurial potential. He advocated for substantial investments in digital innovation to ensure equitable access to opportunities for all segments of society.
