Beijing's green development forum to feature Green Industry Expo

The 5th Beijing Municipal Administrative Center Green Development Forum will be held from Saturday to Monday at the central green forest park, focusing on sustainable and high-quality growth.
With the theme "cultivating new quality productive forces, stimulating green new momentum," the forum will showcase a total of 16 special events including a Green Industry Expo, five themed activities and ten forums.
This year's forum will be the first time that the Green Industry Expo will be held, boosting an exhibition space of around 4,000 square meters. The expo will highlight various zones dedicated to green energy, green building materials, green culture and tourism, green living style and smart manufacturing. With over 60 companies participating, it aims to catalyze the growth of the green industry chain.
The forum strives to establish a comprehensive green development platform that caters to the capital's growth in the new era, an international hub for green cooperation and a market-oriented avenue for boosting green industries.
Situated more than 20 kilometers east of Tian'anmen Square, Beijing's sub-city center also referred to as the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, stands as a beacon of progress and promise in the past years.
The first and second phases of the city's municipal administrative office area have been completed, and more than 30,000 staff members have moved to live and work in the center, a significant factor in ensuring its viability.
A total of 61 Beijing municipal state-owned enterprises and their subsidiaries have also relocated to the sub-city center.
Meanwhile, new cultural, recreational and entertainment facilities have added to the area's appeal. Universal Studios Beijing has opened its office at the location, along with the Beijing Performing Arts Center, Beijing Library and the Grand Canal Museum of Beijing, which opened in late December, all enriching residents' daily lives.
