Reunion journey of truck driver couple ahead of Spring Festival

For truck drivers, after driving for four consecutive hours, they are required to rest for at least 20 minutes according to regulations. While driving, Kong kept his eyes firmly on the road and his hands on the steering wheel, with his wife sitting beside him as an assistant and companion.
The journey from Hangzhou to their hometown spans approximately 1,200 kilometers. After a long and arduous journey, the couple finally arrived home at noon on Jan 20. The next day, the family shared a simple but delicious lunch together. "I hope everyone could stay safe and sound. That's the most important thing," said Kong.
By the end of December 2024, there were approximately 38 million truck drivers in China. These drivers work tirelessly on the front lines of transportation services, not only striving to make a living for themselves but also ensuring the livelihood of countless families.
