Shanghai budget carrier Spring Airlines sets new milestone

Shanghai-based budget carrier Spring Airlines announced on Friday that its flight training center has officially become the first Chinese airliner to be a member of the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) Trainair Plus Programme.
Successfully completing and passing the ICAO on-site assessment, Spring Airlines becomes the fifth Chinese member of the program after organizations including the Civil Aviation University of China and the Civil Aviation Flight University of China.
The ICAO Trainair Plus Programme is the world's leading aviation training program with 119 member organizations worldwide.
Joining the ICAO program is a key step in Spring Airlines' international strategy as it will allow it to access shared resources, strengthen the cooperation of global aviation training, and receive support and guidance from international experts.
It took Spring Airlines four months to go through all the procedures of preparation, application, self-evaluation, and on-site evaluation and become a member of the program.
