For the Revival of Chinese Art, an exhibition now on at the Tsinghua University Art Museum, is an introduction to Wang Xun's accomplishments in academics, education and design. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The exhibition, which runs until May 5, commemorates the 110th anniversary of Wang's birth.

Born in a family of intellectuals, Wang was known for his extensive knowledge in many fields including literature, philosophy, art, history, and folklore. The depth of his academic understanding was demonstrated when he teamed up with other scholars and artists to modernize the art of jingtailan, or cloisonne enamelware, in the 1950s.
