On February 28th, the Turkiye-China Economic and Cultural Exchange Activity was held at the Turkish embassy in Beijing.

Hosted by the Turkish embassy, the event invited 30 Chinese entrepreneurs, who were given guidance and support to explore the Turkish market.

Ismail Hakki Musa, ambassador of the Turkiye to China, emphasized the increasingly close bilateral cooperation.

He stated that Turkiye regards China as an old friend. Turkiye has many traces of civilization, offering unique advantages in geography, economy, and culture, providing Chinese companies with vast investment and development opportunities.

"China is Turkiye's largest trade partner in Asia and the third-largest in the world," he says, adding that Turkiye welcomes direct investment, more promotion and development of tourism activities and more imports of Turkiye's products.

Musa notes that Turkiye is becoming a favored tourism destination for Chinese people and he invited more Chinese friends to discover the vast cultural and historical legacy and richness of Turkiye, from museums to gastronomy, from fine arts to architectural masterpieces.

Atakan Ozdemir, the Chief Commercial Counselor of the Turkish Embassy, stated during his speech that Turkiye is determined to deepen and expand economic relations with China.

Chinese companies investing and producing in Turkiye will enjoy the same rights as those produced in EU countries. Up to now, there are 1,312 Chinese companies as of February are operating in Turkiye, he says.

The Turkish embassy's Counsellor of Culture and Promotion in China, Ebubekir Kadri Biskinler, provided attending entrepreneurs with a detailed introduction to Turkiye's tourism resources.

During the exchange session, Chinese entrepreneurs in attendance engaged in in-depth discussions with diplomats from the Turkish embassy.
