Rural splendor: rapeseed flowers draw thousands in Hunan

Thousands of acres of rapeseed flowers recently bloomed in vibrant splendor in Hengyang county, Hunan province, attracting nearly 10,000 visitors to the rural fields for a picturesque rendezvous with the countryside.

Activities such as cultural performances amid the floral sea, photo opportunities and an agricultural product fair allowed tourists to feast their eyes and taste buds on local delights.

Locals crafted a massive, colorful tai chi diagram with wheat and yellow and purple rapeseed flowers alongside a giant text artwork welcoming tourists. They also planted a large wild goose landscape, blending art with agriculture to showcase rural charm and cultural heritage.
