Adora Magic City's 100th voyage boosts China's cruise industry

Adora Magic City, the nation's first domestically built cruise ship, completed its 100th commercial voyage on Monday, marking a new milestone in China's cruise ship development, according to the China State Shipbuilding Corp (CSSC).

Since its maiden voyage on Jan 1, 2024, the cruise vessel has welcomed more than 350,000 guests, both domestic and international, offering an innovative cultural tourism model that incorporates cruise with cultural elements like folk songs, local operas and tea culture.

China State Shipbuilding Corp's (CSSC) has spent restless efforts in optimizing the design and construction of the vessel. After eight years of scientific research and five years of design and construction, the company successfully delivered the nation's first large domestically made cruise ship, meeting verified safety, comfort and reliability.

The 100th voyage is just the new beginning of a lot more cruise trips tailor-made for the China market. For example, Adora Magic City is scheduled to launch an eight-night summer special route from its home port of Shanghai starting from July 24, and passengers onboard can visit popular destinations including Jeju, Maizuru, Niigata and Hakodate during their trip, announced its operator Adora Cruises Ltd.

With the continuous innovation of Adora Cruises' products, routes and services, Adora Magic City will constantly enhance its influence and competitiveness with its unique iconic cultural and tourism integrated experience.
