Yantai in East China's Shandong province is gearing up for a spectacular performance by the "Golden Bell Star" Art Troupe of the China Musicians Association.
The show, featuring renowned vocalists such as Lei Jia, Liao Changyong, and Lyu Jihong, as well as young instrumentalists like Dang Huali, Zhang Qianyuan, and Jiang Yang, is scheduled to take place at 7:30 pm on March 13 at the Yantai Grand Theatre.
Established in 2010, the "Golden Bell Star" Art Troupe Music Volunteer Service Project consists mainly of past judges and award-winning participants of the Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music, encompassing symphony orchestras, choirs, dance troupes, and artists engaged in other disciplines such as traditional Chinese music, acrobatics, and television arts.
Over the years, under the leadership of the China Musicians Association, the troupe has conducted a series of performances at the grassroots level, becoming a popular cultural event loved by the masses.
The Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music, co-hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the China Musicians Association, is the only permanent comprehensive music award in China. It includes awards for both works of music as well as performances, which are selected through competition.
The awards were established in 2001 and have been successfully held 14 times so far.
