Standards on energy consumption of nonferrous metals established

News came from a conference in Beijing that national standards on energy consumption per unit of nonferrous metals have been established and may be approved by relevant departments in September and come into effect next year, Beijing Business Today reported.

The national technical committee for nonferrous metals standardization organized the conference and drafted the standards with 41 other organizations from across China. The standards concern copper, lead, aluminum, zinc, nickel, magnesium, tin, antimony, aluminum alloy, and brass, the newspaper said.
