US-based pediatric nutrition company Mead Johnson has been exposed by an anonymous source for using illegal measures to promote dairy products among pregnant women and new mothers in Hunan province, China Youth Daily reported Friday.

China encourages breast feeding and illegal promotion of dairy products is forbidden. The source told the paper that bribery would be the only way a company could market dairy products in hospitals.

Evidence of bribery includes bills which show the expenses used for sales and promotion, a list of the senior management of several big hospitals in Hunan, and a list of the heads of gynecology and obstetrics, children's health prevention and neonates departments.

Several of the expense bills are signed by Yao Jing, manager of Mead Johnson's office in Changsha, capital of Hunan, the report said.
