President instructs on fighting oil pipeline blaze

DALIAN, Liaoning - Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao have issued instructions on fire-fighting work after explosions hit oil pipelines in Dalian, port city in Northeast China's Liaoning province, Friday afternoon.

Vice Premier Zhang Dejiang rushed to the spot Friday night to direct rescue work.

The fire is still raging by press time. No casualty has been reported.
