The overseas revenue of Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd, a Chinese online game developer, is expected to surpass $120 million in 2012, according to the company's founder.
Chen Tianqiao, chairman and chief executive officer of Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd, said Shanda's overseas market has grown rapidly in the past three years.
"The revenue comes mainly from our traditional businesses, such as gaming and digital publishing," he said on the sidelines of the annual session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
In 2010, Shanda made $20 million from markets outside China. The figure climbed to $80 million last year, and Chen said he expects it to be between $120 million and $150 million in 2012.
