The Communist Party of China will not change its Hong Kong policies after the upcoming reshuffle of the Party leadership, a senior official in charge of Hong Kong affairs said on Wednesday.
Li Gang, deputy director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, said that no matter how the leadership changes after the national congress, the Party's policies for Hong Kong will remain the same.
"The central government will stick to the policies of 'One Country, Two Systems', 'Hong Kong people administering Hong Kong' and 'High Degree of Autonomy', which will be the same after the leadership changes,” Hong Kong-based newspaper Wen Wei Po quoted Li as saying.
