There is little room for any further reductions in China's mobile phone charges, according to Miao Wei, minister of Industry and Information Technology.
Quoted by China National Radio on Saturday, Miao said charging levels by the country's mobile providers had been lowered significantly in recent years, due to increased market competition.
"There is open supervision of telecommunication charges; the declining charges have been made possible because there are limits on the highest fares but no set lower limits," said Miao, speaking on the sidelines of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
