Luo Yang is born in Shenyang,

Liaoning province.

Graduates from Beihang University after studying aircraft design and is recruited by Shenyang Aircraft Design Institute as a designer.

? August 1986

Joins the Communist Party of China.

? September 1992

Promoted to deputy division chief of the Shenyang Aircraft Design Institute.

? February 1994

Made deputy director of the institute’s organizing department.

? January 1995

Promoted to director of the

institute’s organizing department.

? June 1995

Appointed deputy Party chief of the institute.

? June 1997

Becomes Party chief of the institute.

? July 2002

Appointed Party chief and vice-chairman of AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Corporation.

? November 2007

Promoted to chairman and

general manager of the company.
