Hornets sting Nuggets

LOS ANGELES: The New Orleans Hornets hit several clutch baskets down the stretch in a 105-101 road victory over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.

James Posey drained a go-ahead 3-pointer with 19 seconds remaining to put the Hornets up 101-98 and help New Orleans seal a fourth straight win.

Posey, who finished with 10 points, was picked up by the Hornets (9-5) in the offseason after helping the Boston Celtics win the NBA championship.
