It's a case of virtual alchemy transforming into something real.

Police in the southern province of Suzhou recently detected the theft of virtual silver from an online game, which was then sold to another gamer - this time for real cash.

"All they did was click the mouse and finish the deal," a director surnamed Ye told China Daily yesterday.
