1.6 billion yuan
A report released by the National Audit Office on Friday shows financial irregularities involving 1.6 billion yuan ($260 million) were found in 348 energy conservation and renewable energy programs, including the embezzlement of 226 million yuan. The NAO audited 5,044 such programs across the country, which involved 62 billion yuan, between November and March.
