CCTV to cancel "Entertaining Spectacle"

開(kāi)創(chuàng)了中國(guó)綜藝節(jié)目先河的央視名牌欄目《綜藝大觀》，將在今年國(guó)慶長(zhǎng)假結(jié)束后徹底告別歷史舞臺(tái)。由于收視率過(guò)低，多次改版收效甚微，《綜藝大觀》在央視三套綜藝頻道大改版中無(wú)奈“落馬”，將被一檔全新的綜藝節(jié)目《歡樂(lè)中國(guó)行》取代。

CCTV to cancel "Entertaining Spectacle"

China's very first TV entertainment show, Entertaining Spectacle, will be cancelled after the National Day holiday after running for 14 years.

The CCTV show will be pulled because its ratings have plummeted in recent years.

TV Analysts say the show's demise can be attributed to a general drop in the quality of crosstalk and skits in China.

A new program focusing on interaction with the audience will replace Entertaining Spectacle, aiming to attract a younger generation of viewers.
