Leon was in Beijing to attend the ceremony press conference of the 6th
Winter Asian Games on Tuesday.
The current 2007 Winter Games will be held in
ChangChun. There were no image
ambassadors
for the past five Winter Games. Leon is first to be
appointed as the Winter Games image ambasssador.
Other than singing the theme song, there's an opportunity to pass the
torch because HK is possibly one of the places where competitions will be
stationed.
Regards to becoming an image ambassador, Leon excitedly said, "I'm very
happy. This event happens once every four years. The last time was held in
Japan. This time it's in ChangChun. The Chinese athletes have remarkable
results each time, so I also feel honored."
At the session, Leon accepted a certificate issued by ChangChun's
Deputy Mayor. When asked if he likes Winter Games or Summer Games, Leon
expressed that he loves to ski in the winter because he feels it's very
fun.
