提到問路，我們在中學(xué)就學(xué)過“Can you please tell me the way to ...?”。這個句型仍然實用。不過為了避免每次問路一點變化也沒有，我們來學(xué)一學(xué)其他的問路法吧。

1. What are the landmarks around there?
那附近有什么明顯的建筑物沒有?

不管是開車還是走路，要問路最好是除了路名之外，再問問附近有沒有什么明顯的建筑物。landmark這個詞本意就是地標(biāo)，這里用來表示“標(biāo)志性建筑”，實在是個很好用的詞。下次你問路加上一句“What are the landmarks around there?”就可以了。 相似的表達(dá)法還有“Are there any obvious buildings around?”或者“What should I look for?” ，不過這兩個句子沒有第一個那么常用。

2. What is the fastest way?
哪一條路最快?

走路都喜歡抄近路，沒有人喜歡繞彎的。“走哪條路最快?” 英語就是“What is the fastest way?”或者“Which way is quicker?”

毫無疑問，自然是捷徑最快。捷徑的英文是 shortcut，那么“抄捷徑”就是 take a shortcut, 或是 cut corners。不過也有時候近路沒抄到反而繞了一大圈，這就是 take a detour啦。

3. Is this the way to the Friendship Hotel？
這是往Friendship Hotel的路嗎?

如果有一天你跟一個美國友人走到十字路口，你不知道要往哪走，你就可以問他“Which way?” 或是指著某一條路問他：Is this the way to (some place) ?

4. How far from here?
從這去有多遠(yuǎn)?

這可是絕對簡單易懂的問法。我想，也沒有幾個人會聽不懂吧！
