“站隊(duì)”英文怎么說

當(dāng)?shù)貢r(shí)間4月30日，美國菲律賓舉行了兩國首次“2+2”高層磋商。在此次會(huì)議上，美國拒絕就黃巖島問題站隊(duì)，呼吁各方通過外交途徑解決爭端。

The United States said on Monday that it would not? take sides? in the Huangyan Island standoff between China and the Philippines in the South China Sea and reiterated support for a diplomatic resolution to the territorial dispute.

美國于本周一表示，不會(huì)在中菲黃巖島問題上站隊(duì)，并重申希望通過外交途徑解決領(lǐng)土爭端。

上述報(bào)道中的take sides就是我們平時(shí)常說的“站隊(duì)”，即在有兩方發(fā)生爭議的時(shí)候表明自己支持某一方。例如：Whatever you do, I'll take sides with you.（無論你做什么，我都會(huì)站在你這邊。）這里的take sides in the Huangyan Island standoff則告訴我們，如果想表達(dá)“在某件事上站隊(duì)”就可以用take sides in something來表示。

在這個(gè)詞組中，side也可以單獨(dú)做動(dòng)詞用，表示“站在某一邊”的意思，比如：She always sided with my brother.（她總是帶在我哥哥那邊。）或者Why do you always side against me ?（你為什么總站在我的對立面?）
