地板衣櫥 floordrobe

有一句話說(shuō)“女人的衣櫥是永遠(yuǎn)都填不滿的”，意指女人對(duì)衣服的熱愛(ài)是永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)停歇的。放在現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中來(lái)說(shuō)，衣櫥再大也有被填滿的時(shí)候，哪怕你把所有房間的地板都用來(lái)放衣服，也總有一天你會(huì)無(wú)處下腳的。地板上放衣服？你不是沒(méi)有嘗試過(guò)吧？

Like its root word, wardrobe, which is a noun referring to a tall piece of furniture that provides storage space for clothes, a floordrobe also "provides storage space for clothes." The "space" it refers to, however, is not a piece of furniture but the more ambiguous and amorphous space of your living room or bedroom floor.

Floordrobe這個(gè)詞的原形是wardrobe，指放置衣物的大件家具，即衣櫥，floordrobe也為我們“提供放置衣物的空間”。不過(guò)，這里所說(shuō)的“空間”并不是指某樣家具，而是指起居室或臥室的地板，這個(gè)空間相對(duì)而言沒(méi)有明確定義也沒(méi)有明確的形狀。

So, any room which consists principally of discarded clothes – covering the floor and the furniture and every available space – is a “floordrobe.”

因此，任何一個(gè)地板、家具及所有可能的地方都堆滿衣服的房間都可以被稱為floordrobe（地板衣櫥）。

與之相似的還有一個(gè)詞是chairdrobe，指把衣服放在或堆在椅子上。
