姚明：要降低群眾參與體育運(yùn)動(dòng)的門(mén)檻

每年兩會(huì)，政協(xié)體育界別的姚明委員都會(huì)成為輿論關(guān)注的焦點(diǎn)，他高大的身形、廣泛的知名度和在體育界的影響力讓他很難不引人注意。

"We have to bring down the threshold of sports participation for the general public by making events and competitions much closer and easier to take part in," Yao told China Daily on Wednesday in Beijing.
姚明本周三在北京接受《中國(guó)日?qǐng)?bào)》記者采訪時(shí)說(shuō)：“我們要舉辦更多讓人們可以廣泛參與的體育活動(dòng)和比賽，降低群眾參與體育運(yùn)動(dòng)的門(mén)檻。”

"This will help more people adopt sports as a lifestyle while creating more business opportunities in the sports industry," he said.
他說(shuō)：“這能幫助更多人把體育鍛煉當(dāng)做一種生活方式，同時(shí)也給體育行業(yè)創(chuàng)造出更多商機(jī)?！?/p>

目前作為實(shí)體化改革后的中國(guó)籃協(xié)主席，姚明透露他今年的提案是有關(guān)推進(jìn)“小籃球”項(xiàng)目普及的。

Yao will file a new proposal to promote a “mini basketball” program customized for children under 12 years old, which features smaller balls, lower rims and more accessible courts, in primary schools this year to make the already popular sport more appealing to the juniors.
姚明今年將提交有關(guān)推進(jìn)“小籃球”項(xiàng)目普及的提案?！靶』@球”項(xiàng)目是針對(duì)12歲以下青少年的籃球推廣計(jì)劃，使用小尺寸籃球、降低高度的籃筐和小型球場(chǎng)。今年這一項(xiàng)目將在小學(xué)推廣，使已經(jīng)非常流行的籃球運(yùn)動(dòng)更受青少年歡迎。
