We have heard that in business presentations it is important to find ways to engage 吸引 with your audience. In this programme our language expert Simon Cuddihy introduces some different strategies for doing this to our regular panel of Chinese student volunteers.

You will hear an English clip from a business presentation and then a discussion between Simon, Jean and the students.

Imagine that you are doing a presentation to a room of foreign investors 投資商。Your presentation is about the virtues 優(yōu)勢 of your hometown as a possible manufacturing base 生產(chǎn)基地。

• Jot down（快速）寫下 some ideas about the different benefits your town might have for various industries.
• Now think about your language. Does Chinese have any sayings 名言，俗語 that support what you want to say?
• Now think about your own past. Do you have any personal feelings or stories that are relevant to 與…有關(guān) what you are trying to say?

Simon 是一位擁有十年英語教學經(jīng)驗的英語語言專家。在過去的五年里，Simon的主要授課領(lǐng)域為高等教育中的學術(shù)英語。Simon 目前在倫敦政治與經(jīng)濟學院任教，主教英語書寫技巧。

關(guān)于董征

董征多年來一直在BBC國際臺擔任節(jié)目制作和主持工作。她在中英商貿(mào)界也是頗有影響的一位人物。董征在英國曾先后擔任過倫敦證券交易所上 市公司的中國業(yè)務總監(jiān)、PLUS上市投資公司集團業(yè)務總監(jiān)等。董征目前在一家中英投資貿(mào)易咨詢業(yè)務公司擔任總經(jīng)理。
