英國(guó)普羅派拉莎士比亞劇團(tuán)的所有角色均由男人扮演。在保留英國(guó)戲劇“全男班”傳統(tǒng)的同時(shí)，用現(xiàn)代的表現(xiàn)手法演繹莎士比亞劇作魅力，致力于向現(xiàn)實(shí)生活傳遞莎劇的詩(shī)意，最大程度地發(fā)揮演員的獨(dú)創(chuàng)，深化表演者和觀(guān)眾之間的關(guān)系。

《亨利五世》

基于英格蘭國(guó)王亨利五世生平創(chuàng)作，描寫(xiě)百年戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)期間的阿爾金戰(zhàn)役。年輕的亨利五世不甘法國(guó)王子的侮辱，遠(yuǎn)征法國(guó)，憑著過(guò)人的勇氣擊潰法軍，成為法國(guó)王位繼承人，并娶得法國(guó)公主為妻。藝術(shù)家們以震撼人心的力量引領(lǐng)觀(guān)眾馳騁于威斯敏斯特走廊到法國(guó)大地的廣袤疆場(chǎng)，全劇壯麗動(dòng)人，洋溢著濃烈的愛(ài)國(guó)主義情懷和厚重的歷史感。

《冬天的故事》

西西里國(guó)王懷疑王后與波希米亞國(guó)王有染，逼死了幼子和王后，拋棄幼女兒，兩個(gè)國(guó)家反目，一個(gè)男人因?yàn)榧啥蕷缌艘磺?。十幾年后，公主邂逅波希米亞王子，這對(duì)被波希米亞王詛咒的情人逃往西西里王的宮殿求得庇護(hù)，于是咒語(yǔ)破解了：當(dāng)西西里王的子嗣重生時(shí)，王后也獲得了重生。

普羅派拉莎士比亞劇團(tuán)的此次訪(fǎng)華演出是2012年“藝述英國(guó)”大型藝術(shù)節(jié)的旗艦項(xiàng)目?！八囀鲇?guó)”是迄今為止在中國(guó)舉辦的規(guī)模最大的英國(guó)藝術(shù)節(jié)。為了慶祝倫敦奧運(yùn)會(huì)和紀(jì)念中英建交40周年，“藝述英國(guó)”旨在把中英兩國(guó)的藝術(shù)機(jī)構(gòu)、藝術(shù)家和藝術(shù)愛(ài)好者們更緊密地聯(lián)系在一起。2012年4月至11月，“藝述英國(guó)”將在中國(guó)的19個(gè)城市舉辦數(shù)百場(chǎng)活動(dòng)，以展覽、音樂(lè)會(huì)、演出和教育培訓(xùn)計(jì)劃來(lái)呈現(xiàn)英國(guó)最高水準(zhǔn)的藝術(shù)和創(chuàng)意。

Propeller is an all-male Shakespeare company which seeks to find a more engaging way of expressing Shakespeare and to more completely explore the relationship between text and performance. Mixing a rigorous approach to the text with a modern physical aesthetic, they have been influenced by mask work, animation and classic and modern film and music from all ages. Henry V and The Winter’s Tale brought by Propeller are two works of genius.

HENRY V

Nationalism at its most dangerous and exciting, ‘Henry V’ tells the tale of the greatest British warrior in English folklore. Propeller brings its own unique take on one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays. Dangerous, thrilling and deeply moving, ‘Henry V’ marks the beginning of a journey that takes audience from the corridors of Westminster to the fields of France in an evening of unforgettable power.

Propeller continues their exploration of Shakespeare’s cycle of the History plays following their acclaimed productions of RICHARD III and ROSE RAGE.

THE WINTER’S TALE

A tragic fairy story, mysterious and extraordinary. Propeller returns to the story of a man consumed by an inexplicable jealousy that destroys his family, his kingdom and himself. Wracked by guilt, Leontes sets off a chain reaction of events leading to a miraculous ending and the chance for redemption. The greatest playwright writing at the height of his powers. True poetry in motion.
