10月9日上午，國(guó)務(wù)院新聞辦公室發(fā)表《中國(guó)的司法改革》白皮書。這是中國(guó)政府首次就司法改革問(wèn)題發(fā)布白皮書。

除了回顧中國(guó)的司法體系和改革進(jìn)程之外，白皮書主要強(qiáng)調(diào)維護(hù)社會(huì)公平正義和保護(hù)人權(quán)。

White paper就是“白皮書”，是政府、議會(huì)等公開(kāi)發(fā)表的有關(guān)政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、外交等重大問(wèn)題的文件?！八痉ǜ母锇灼本褪?strong>white paper on judicial reform。

司法改革白皮書包括維護(hù)社會(huì)公平正義（maintaining social fairness, justice）、優(yōu)化司法職權(quán)配置（optimizing the structure of the judicial organs and allocation of their functions and power）、加強(qiáng)人權(quán)保障（improving the protection of human rights）、提高司法能力（strengthening judicial organs' capability in maintaining social justice）等內(nèi)容。
