Yixian protects ancient villages
Six conservation projects for ancient villages in Yixian county, Anhui province, have been incorporated into the 12th five-year plan for protection of national culture and natural heritage.
The feasibility report for the famous historical and cultural village conservation project of Pingshan village has been completed and was reported to the provincial development and reform commission. It aims to get 2.99 million yuan ($485,125) from central budgetary funds for 2013, out of a total investment of 4.78 million yuan ($779,133).
Construction plans for five other projects, with a total investment of 25.22 million yuan ($4.11 million), have been reported to the provincial development and reform commission, including projects for road maintenance, fire protection facilities, environmental remediation, water supply and drainage, and pollutant treatment.
The funds will help Yixian county with its cultural conservation and construction.
