The 20th International Biotechnology Symposium (IBS) opened in Chicago on April 22, attracting over 20,000 participating companies from 66 countries. Delegates of pharmaceutical manufacturers, research institutes, developers and other fields held more than 100 technology seminars during the symposium.
Nine out of the 1,400 exhibitors are Zhongguancun-based companies, including Beijing Zhongguancun Life Science Park Bio-Medical Incubator, Beijing East Linden and Lepu Medical Technology (Beijing). Through participating in the IBS exhibition, they have gained a more profound understanding of modern bio-technology trends and strengthened their determination to internationalize.
The IBS is an annual event that began in 1993. It strives to push forward the development of the bio-technology and pharmaceutical industry through professional exhibitions and lectures. With the goal of promoting international cooperation and boosting bio-industry growth, the IBS has developed into the most import symposium on bio-technology because of its amazing scale and high reputation.
