Pingtan to build six roads in downtown area

Six municipal roads started construction in downtown Pingtan on Monday.
The six roads, namely the extension section of Wanbei Road, Jinfeng Road, Jinhu Road, the extension section of Kanghu Road, Jinxin Road and Guihua Road are situated in the western part of the old urban district of Pingtan.
The total length of the roads adds up to 4.5 kilometers. The project, with an investment of 210 million yuan ($34 million), is expected to take two years to complete.
The extended Wanbei Road will serve as a significant road in Pingtan as it connects the three districts of Tancheng, Lancheng and Zhuyu.
Together the six roads help to connect the old urban town to the new urban town. It will be conducive to promoting economic development in the western part of Pingtan and will provide convenient traffic options to residents near the area.
The speed limit for the roads is set at 40 kilometers per hour.
