The outbound service building of Pingtan Strait Bridge's second line was roofed on Oct 15. The project will move onto other steps including a curtain wall fa?ade.
As only one channel linked Pingtan and the mainland, the second line of Pingtan Strait Bridge is crucial and will increase customs supervision over goods and passengers. It will be the main passageway after the establishment of the Jinjingwan Customs Clearance Center.
The second line is a special supervision area without frontier inspection. The inspection for the passengers and goods out of Pingtan is obligatory while the inspection for passengers and goods entering Pingtan is voluntary.
The second line of Pingtan Strait Bridge covers an area of 161,000 square meters with a total building area of 21,000 square meters that includes an inbound service building, an outbound service building, 20 inspection passages, 40 inspection stations as well as 207 parking lots.
