An anti-drug promotion campaign was held at Xiyan Primary School in Pingtan county, Fujian province on March 18.

The centerpiece of the event was a lecture for young people, which was given by police on the harmful effects of drugs, the different types of drugs and how to avoid using of drugs.

"We helped them better understand the danger of drugs, let them know that drugs torture a person's mind and can even result in death. They must keep away from drugs and always say no to them," said Li Zhuying, a local policeman.
