Pingba was selected into the list of 2014-2016 China Folk Culture and Art Villages by the Ministry of Culture, with the honor of the "Hometown of Tunpu's Di Opera".

Pingba has several Tunpu villages and hundreds of Di opera artists. In order to promote Tunpu's Di opera, Pingba holds a lot of activities, such as the Anshun (Pingba) Tunpu Arts Festival and Tunpu Culture Summit.
What's more, anthropologists from France, the US, the UK, Germany, Japan and South Korea were invited to enjoy the Di opera.

Di opera performers have visited France, New Zealand and Taiwan to give locals exciting performances, spreading Di opera at home and abroad.
So far, the Tunpu children's Di opera training center, children's Di opera group and Tunpu female Di opera group have been established, taking the inheritance and development of Di opera to a new stage.
