As the biggest chili food manufacturer in China, Laoganma Special Flavour Foodstuffs Company, based in Guizhou province, saw 3.72 billion yuan ($610 million) in sales, with revenue of 510 million yuan, in 2013.
Laoganma Company established an 8,000-hectare chili planting base that provides job opportunities for 2 million rural households.
Adopting scientific planting technology on main pepper species called "Zunjiao No 1",peasants harvests 210 kilogram more production per hectare.
Raw material acquisition at Laoganma saw a 210 percent increase from 2012 to 2013. Sales volume hit 1.1 billion yuan, 750 million yuan of which comes from the capital city of Guiyang.
Laoganma exports its products to more than 30 countries and regions, including the United States, Australia, Canada and New Zealand.
