The Yantai Culture and Tourism Bureau was officially inaugurated on Dec 24. Wang Zhong, deputy mayor of Yantai, and Xu Shaoning, director of the Yantai publicity department, attended the launching ceremony.

Wang said that its inauguration is of great significance to built?a city suitable for?live, tourism and?ecology?and accelerate the comprehensive development of culture and tourism.

The new bureau is meant to protect cultural resources and regulate the tourism market to boost the local tourism industry and enhance cultural exchanges with foreign countries.
