The Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co has been recognized as a National Benchmark Company for 2013 for its performance in online quality-control system, according to recent reports. The system uses an information platform for real-time monitoring and deviation control and better product quality.

The Ministry of Industry and Information began the selection for the 2013 national benchmark company program, with a “l(fā)earning quality from a benchmark company for quality and transformation” idea. So far, 26 enterprises have been credited this year.
