Young tour guides promote Pingyao

Government departments in Pingyao county arranged for young volunteers to act as tour guides for visitors to the county during the May Day holiday from April 29 to May 1.

Volunteers provided tourists with information on traveling routes, local tourist attractions, accommodation, and restaurants. They also distributed travel brochures and provided information about tourist attractions, and promoted the culture of the ancient county.

“While delighting travelers to Pingyao, the comprehensive tour services provided by young volunteers benefit the image of Pingyao as a tourist county,” said Yang Li, deputy director of the county’s tourism development commission.
