According to Xishuangbanna Bureau of Commerce, during the 12th Five Year Plan period, the prefecture plans to invest more than 1.48 billion yuan?in constructing 50 port projects, comprising of 22 Category-1 Port projects, 17 projects as planned new ports, and 11 border crossings projects.

Director of Xishuangbanna Bureau of Commerce Dao Hong said that port construction and border trade are drivers in developing borderland and improving borderers’ living standards.
