Russian painter puts China element in his work
The painting 'Hairstyle for the Olympic Games' is part of a solo exhibit of Russian artist Andrey Kartashov at Liu Haisu Art Museum in Shanghai, Aug 10, 2010. The 44-year-old had sojourned in China's Sichuan province and Beijing for years, and themes from the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake and Beijing Games can be found in his paintings. More than 100 oil paintings present the classic style of Russian oil painting along with the artist's distinct personality. The exhibit is on until Aug 15. [Photo/Asianewsphoto]
