Rare freshwater jellyfish found in Mount Tai

A freshwater jellyfish that is almost extinct, craspedacusta sowerbyi, has been found in the tourist resort of Mount Tai in East China's Shandong province, July 27, 2011. The species, believed to have being living on earth for 1.5 billion years, can only survive in water that has not been polluted by human activities and in a temperature below 35 degrees Celsius.
