In honor of China’s National Day, students at the University of International Business and Economics put down their books on September 28th to gather at campus center and transform it into the place to be for snacks, painting, whirlwind entertainment, music and even poetry.
Thanks to the Student Union and the Youth League Committee, free festivities could be found at every turn. From the whizzing sounds of Chinese yo-yos whipping by to the sweet sounds of sharp erhu players to the even sweeter treats served up by candy makers, there was a lot to be excited about.
Despite all the free entertainment, many students were also doing their part to prepare for October 1st. It took a small army of students to paint a 60 meter long mural in honor of China’s 60th anniversary.
