SEOUL: The two Koreas reached a deal on Friday to resume reunions of families separated by the 1950-53 Korean War, which had been suspended for about two years due to political troubles, Yonhap news agency said on Friday.

A new round of reunions will be held starting from September 26 at the Mount Kumgang resort in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), which is run by an affiliate of the Republic of Korea's Hyundai Group. The agreement follows a series of conciliatory steps the DPRK has made this month.
