The wildebeest migration in Tanzania is one of the worlds most spectacular wildlife events. Captured here by photographer Tom Whetton, some 5,000 animals attempt to cross the mighty Mara River. But these incredible shots represent just a tiny section of the 1.5 million beasts that make the treacherous journey each year as the migrating herds make their way through the Serengeti.
