US singer Bob Dylan has been awarded the 2016 Nobel Prize for Literature, becoming the first songwriter to win the prestigious award.

迪倫生于1941年，原名為羅伯特·艾倫·齊默曼(Robert Allen Zimmerman)。他18歲就開始了自己的音樂生涯(begin his musical career)，早年曾在明尼蘇達(dá)州的咖啡屋演奏(play in coffee houses in Minnesota)。迪倫最知名的作品(best-known work)大部分創(chuàng)作于20世紀(jì)60年代，當(dāng)時他成為了反越南戰(zhàn)爭和美國民權(quán)運動的非正式歷史學(xué)家(an informal historian for the anti-Vietnam War and America's civil rights movements)。其中最著名的歌曲當(dāng)屬《答案在風(fēng)中飄蕩》(Blowin' in the Wind)和《變革時代》(The Times They are A-Changin)。1965年創(chuàng)作的《沒事，媽媽(我只是在流血)》(It's Alright, Ma (I'm Only Bleeding))是他最辛辣的歌曲之一(one of his most biting songs)。這些歌曲后來成了美國反戰(zhàn)和民權(quán)運動的"國歌"("national anthem" of anti-war and civil rights movement)。迪倫多年來一直在重塑自我(reinvent himself constantly)，無論是對音樂還是演唱風(fēng)格(singing style)都是如此。不過，他從傳統(tǒng)民謠(traditional folk)轉(zhuǎn)向電子音樂(electric music)的做法使部分粉絲疏遠(yuǎn)了他。
